MRI

MRI with stroke (no dye)MRI with stroke (dye)

Main difference between the two is the bottom one has dye in it. The stroke shots on the MRI film. It really fascinates me how we can see inside the body without slicing it open and damaging it that way. Both of these pictures show the left side of my brain of the right side of the picture. If you look at the middle of the picture (black in the top one and white in the bottom we have the termination of the spinal column in the center (just below center) and there is a white smudge there above that and slightly off the center on the right side of the image. This is the area of brain cells that suffered the lack of oxygen. In my thalamus this is....sensory aspect of the body and home to where this enlightening episode of discovery has been.

Don't look if it disturbs but do if you are the least bit interested in the brain. That is my brain up there and that has always been a fascination for me.
