Monthly Affirmation

may I be I is the only prayer - not may I be great or good or beautiful or wise or strong. ~e.e. cummings

this evening

black sky on one side - gray sky with yellow sun on the other

big fat rain drops slowly exploding on windshield then roll away

crossing the two bridges coming home light ahead dark behind

contrasting the day from morning until night,
from my day beginning to end

then rainbow arching over TCU stadium like a faint reminder
of days past in the land of rainbows

smile upon my face

then a chuckle this evening
as I prepare a little treat
6 reduced fat woven wheat crackers
topped with
Nutella

I chuckle at the absurdity
but live for the enjoyment
and
TASTE!

live well my readers
live well and smile

  1. My first visit to your blog. Just what I needed...another blog to love, to follow, to learn from. Sigh.

If any brain cells were lost during your stroke, I am unable to find them in the beautiful poem written and presented here.

I look forward to getting to know you through your blog(s?) and will read your back story slowly, relishing every single word.

  2. Welcome Sue G. You can take your time and I thank you for stopping by. They are not all little creations....or maybe they are. But thanks. Now I have to go and check out your link. :)
